Dr. Myron R Szewczuk has completed his PhD in 1974 from University of Windsor in Biology and Immunochemistry and Postdoctoral studies from Cornell University Medical College, New York City, USA in Cellular Immunology with Dr Greg Siskind (1975-1978). He is presently a Full Professor of Immunology and Associate Professor of Medicine, Queen’s University, Canada. He has published more than 100 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial Board Member of repute.

Research Interest :

His research interest includes the alternate therapeutic treatment of cancer and the role of glycosylation in the activation of neurotrophin Trk, EGFR, insulin and TOLL-like receptors.Molecular basis of Neu1 sialidase underlying TOLL-like receptor activation in pathophysiology of infections and inflammation. N-Acylated Hexosamines as Nutraceuticals: From Shellfish to Algae to Mammalian Bone and Joint Health.

Biography :

Dr. Azizur Rahman is the Research Head/Director of HiGarden Inc. and a Senior Research Scientist at the University of Toronto. He pursues a broad range of research interests that include indoor ecosystems, freshwater/marine biology, environment and climate change, biomineralization, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biotechnology and protein biochemistry. By applying his interdisciplinary research expertise in analytical and biological methods, he is particularly interested in understanding the biological processes of calcifying marine/freshwater organisms (including microorganisms) and their interaction to environmental change. He is also fascinated with understanding the biological development of freshwater microorganisms and their functional properties in an indoor ecosystem. He was awarded his Ph.D. (with President Award) in Aquatic Biology and Environmental Sciences from the University of Ryukyus, Japan. Dr. Rahman has authored more than 60 scientific articles and many book chapters. His interdisciplinary research has been recognized by over 15 major national and international awards, including several best paper awards and a gold medal. He is a recipient of the Presidential Honorary Award for Scientists, the highest honor given by the University of Ryukyus in Japan for outstanding novel research findings. Dr. Rahman has over 12 years of academic and industrial experiences both in teaching and in research. In addition to his research work with HiGarden Inc., he teaches and conducts research in Aquatic Biology and Environmental Sciences at the University of Toronto (since January 2013).

Biography :

Ram Samudrala is Professor and Chief, Division of Bioinformatics, State University of New York, Buffalo researching multiscale modeling of atomic, molecular, cellular, and physiological systems, with an emphasis on protein and proteome structure, function, interaction, design, and evolution. His work has led to more than 115 publications in journals such as Science, Nature, PLoS Biology, the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and the Journal of the American Medical Association. Samudrala joined the University of Washington faculty in 2001 (where he remains an Affiliate Professor) after completing his doctoral research with John Moult at the Center for Advanced Research in Biotechnology in 1997, and his postdoctoral research with Michael Levitt (2013 Nobel in Chemistry) at Stanford University in 2000, which resulted in him making some of the best predictions at the first three community-wide assessment of protein structure prediction (CASP) experiments. In 2002, he received a Searle Scholar Award which funds exceptional young scientists, was named one of the world's top young innovators (TR100) by MIT Technology Review in 2003, and was selected to present the University of Washington New Investigator Science in Medicine Lecture in 2004.

He is a former Distinguished Professor and Research Scientist of Texas A&M University System on the Campus of Prairie View, Texas. He is a founder, scientist and Director of the International Parks, which main aim is invention/discovery in the area of of Microbiology, Synthetic Biology, Molecular Biology. He is a former research associate for the USDA. He has many scientific inventions and publications. He has received numerous scientific recognition's, and he has received several Honorary doctor degrees. He has received the NASA Brief Technology Award for his inventions to NASA. MGeneral Pathology professor from 1975 at Perugia University and Director of the Institute. She has published 240 paper most in the International Journal: Scientific fields of interest are: cell proliferation in vivo and in vitro; non premitotic DNA synthesis; tumor cell proliferation and oncogene expression; gene expression in hepatocytes during neonatal maturation and liver regeneration; presence of a phospholipidic fraction in hepatocyte chromatin and its metabolism. She was also Rector delegate for international affairs for the University and participates to many projects In particular she created the School for Technician, the Doctorate in cell and Molecular Pathology, the Consortium of University and Enterprises, TUCEP. From 1976 a network in Biotechnology was created with the support of Europe, two international courses “Job Creation Oriented Biotechnology” and “Biotechnology Medical Application” were created. She was President of European Biotechnology Thematic Network Association (EBTNA) and actually is President of ONLUS research Foundation “Enrico Puccinelli”.

Yung-Chih Kuo is a professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, National Chung Cheng University. He has authored or coauthored over 130 SCI journal papers. He is an honor member of Phi Tau Phi Society, a life member in various academic Societies including American Nano Society, European Atherosclerosis Society, Asia-Pacific Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering Society, Asian Federation of Biotechnology, Asian Biotechnology Directory, Taiwanese Society of Biomedical Engineering, Chinese Institute of Engineers, Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers, Biochemical Engineering Society of Taiwan, and Taiwan Biomaterials and Controlled Release Society. He won Young Scholar Award in 2003 and Distinguished Research Award in 2013. He is also an associate editor of J. Taiwan Inst. Chem. Engrs. (Impact factor 3.000) and an editorial board member in 6 international journals, and has been invited as a manuscript reviewer for over 50 journals (top reviewer of the Journal of Physical Chemistry (American Chemical Society)), an external reviewer for European research proposals, academic awards, research grants, faculty recruitments and promotions, and financial support of hosting international symposiums, and an advisory board committeeman of international conferences and symposiums.

Dr. Saheem Ahmad received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Medical Sciences, AMU, Aligarh. He then worked as a Post doctoral Fellow at the same department and, then at Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, Loyola University of Chicago, USA. Subsequently, he started his independent research group at Integral University, Lucknow, where he is currently working as an Associate Professor. The research of Dr. Ahmad is focused on Glycation Biology and Metabolic Disorders. He has more than 55 research publications to his credit in journals of international repute. His zest and zeal to bring Biotechnology at the forefront of research agenda of the country and the world has received in the form of First Indo-Russian project from DBT, Govt. of India. Currently, he is sitting on three major research grants, including two young scientist project grants. He is involved in the development and validation of natural/organic products of daily use as cosmaceuticals which are currently in the initial stage of therapy for glycation, diabetes, and ageing. In last two years, he has organized two International conferences and one Indo-Russian meet. He is also an Editor for Frontiers of Biosciences, Journal of Immune Research, and Journal of Glycomics and Proteomics.

Ching-Yen Tsai is an associated research scientist at the Institute of Molecular Biology, Academia Sinica. She is also the manager of Transgenic Core Facility. Her major is Genetics and has been working on genetic modified mouse for over 20 years. She works intensively on mouse genetics and assisted reproduction. She is the reviewer of PLOS One and Universal Journal of Chemistry.

Research Interest :

The major interest of her research is to establish updated molecular biological approaches platform on genetic modification of mouse genome, such as TALENs or CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing.

Yiu Fai Tsang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Science and Environmental Studies (SES) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). He received his PhD in Environmental Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). He further worked as a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Prior to joining EdUHK, he was a Research Fellow in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at PolyU. Currently, he serves as Associate Editor for RSC Advances (Royal Society of Chemistry) and Water Environment Research (Water Environment Federation), Subject Editor for Process Safety and Environmental Protection (Elsevier), Academic Editor for PLOS ONE (Public Library of Science), Topical Editor for Environmental Engineering Research (Korean Society of Environmental Engineers), and Editorial Board Member of Biodegradation (Springer) and Clean Technologies and Environmental Policy (Springer). He has been also appointed as Adjunct Professor in Guizhou Academy of Sciences, China.

Abdeen Mustafa Omer (BSc, MSc, PhD) is an Associate Researcher at Energy Research Institute (ERI). He obtained both his PhD degree in the Built Environment and Master of Philosophy degree in Renewable Energy Technologies from the University of Nottingham. He is qualified Mechanical Engineer with a proven track record within the water industry and renewable energy technologies. He has been graduated from University of El Menoufia, Egypt, BSc in Mechanical Engineering. His previous experience involved being a member of the research team at the National Council for Research/Energy Research Institute in Sudan and working director of research and development for National Water Equipment Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Sudan. He has been listed in the book WHO'S WHO in the World 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2010. He has published over 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 200 review articles, 7 books and 150 chapters in books.

Cancellation, Postponement and Transfer of Registration

 

All cancellations or modifications of registration must be made in writing molecularbiology@alliedconferences.org

 

Cancellation Policy

 

If Allied Academies cancels this event for any reason, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies event which must occur within one year from the date of cancellation.

 

Postponement

 

If Allied Academies Ltd postpones an event for any reason and you are unable or unwilling to attend on rescheduled dates, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies event which must occur within one year from the date of postponement.

 

Transfer of registration

 

All fully paid registrations are transferable to other persons from the same organization, if registered person is unable to attend the event. Transfers must be made by the registered person in writing to molecularbiology@alliedconferences.org. Details must be included the full name of replacement person, their title, contact phone number and email address. All other registration details will be assigned to the new person unless otherwise specified.

 

Registration can be transferred to one conference to another conference of Allied Academies if the person is unable to attend one of conferences.

 

However, Registration cannot be transferred if it is intimated within 14 days of respective conference.

 

The transferred registrations will not be eligible for Refund.

 

Visa Information

 

Keeping in view of increased security measures, we would like to request all the participants to apply for Visa as soon as possible.

 

Allied Academies will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants. All delegates or invitees should apply for Business Visa only.

 

Important note for failed visa applications: Visa issues cannot come under the consideration of cancellation policy of Allied Academies, including the inability to obtain a visa.
